A course for all those who want to become professional interior designers
In the three consecutive modules students acquire the theoretical and practical bases for the profession, from manual design to digital representation with 2D and 3D software, from the analysis of the types of intervention to the drafting of the final project, from the study of materials to the techniques of decorative finishing of surfaces.
The Course
A good designer is able to divide up spaces, advising which materials and finishes are most suitable for the intended use, suggesting the right furniture, lighting systems and accessories for the furnishing of homes and private environments, offices, shops, public places, both in vintage locations and in contemporary spaces. The interior designer must also know how to create exhibition design projects for trade fairs, exhibitions, promotional events, and develop the ability to create special interior furnishings with a high level of personalisation.
The course is divided into three consecutive modules at which the students learn the theoretical and practical bases for the profession, from manual design to the digital representation with 2D and 3D software, from the analysis of the types of intervention, to the drafting of the final project, from the study of materials and surface finishing techniques. Added to this is the indispensable background training in the historical/cultural disciplines such as the history of art, history of product design, and history of interior design, which allow us to know the styles and trends of the past and present as well as providing visual stimuli for individual creativity.
The teachings embrace many topics because multiple skills have to be possessed by interior designers capable of using their sensitivity and cultural background to interpret the customer’s taste and provide solutions that combine both aesthetics and functionality.
